In this skilled motorcycle and car refinishing and custom paint industry, we have developed a unique course covering the full range of skills and services.

This course aims to give the student the opportunity to learn and develop the skills and techniques necessary to be self reliant and achieve the highest standards. This 11 day intensive package provides a full hands on practical opportunity to practice your skills and techniques within a purpose built area and operational body shop alongside qualified instructors.

UNLIKE OTHERS THAT ONLY TEACH THE CUSTOM PAINTING AND TALK YOU THROUGH THE REST WE WILL TEACH YOU IT ALL.
There is no point being great at airbrushing if you need to rely on others to do your preparation and repairs or to finish off your work. We don’t just teach you how to become good with an airbrush, we teach you how to become painters as well, by giving you extensive spray booth time and showing you how to paint actual bodywork, bikes or cars and help overcome common problems.

PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE US WITH OTHERS, OUR COURSE IS THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND.

FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • There are many Airbrush courses in the country claiming you can paint a bike or car with an airbrush. Some even state on your kitchen table! YOU CAN'T! Airbrushing is not enough. However, we WILL teach you what others don't.

  • Be wary of training providers who try to sell only their products. We could easily sell to you ourselves but chose not to. Your training is our priority, not selling you gear and products you will never need. Instead we provide you with a list of our suppliers and get you discount on all products purchased.

  • Now - Our student's work is proudly displayed in our student gallery - an indication of what you can achieve. All work on view in the gallary has been repaired, fully painted and polished by the student. At least ten coats of laquer has been applied during this process. Trust us, a typical Airbrush course is in no way enough. You wouldnt know where to start.

  • We don't use "practice" tanks, helmets, car doors or bonnets - you paint on the real thing. Nothing is pre-prepped for you, you fix and prepare it yourself and take ALL your work away with you at the end of the course.

  • Our testimonials are all genuine and speak for themselves. They can be proved on request - just ask.

  • We teach you at your speed and capabilities. Start times are 10.00am and end when YOU'RE DONE. It's not uncommon to still be here at 10.00pm, (our record is 2am) but we're here with you all the way.

  • As well as the training, you will benefit greatly in understanding how to run your own business in our working environment. We will also teach you how to market and price your work as well as dealing with customers and setting up.

  • We don't pack you in for "maximum income". We could provide space for ten students but chose not to. Your strengths and weaknesses need to be analysed and addressed to get you to the required standard. There is so much to learn we only teach a maximum of 3 students per course. We will give you all the 1 to 1 teaching you need.

  • We teach both water and solvent based paint so don't push you towards just one product therefore giving you more options.

  • We are in one location all of the time. If you need us for support, we are here 24hrs. We are not the most flash or famous, nor are we here to boost our own egos. We are here to provide you with the best training in the industy. With over 15 years of teaching experience we guarantee, you will not find better training anywhere in the world.

Testimonial from Dale Norman

I attended Mick's full course late 2008.  I have always had an interest in painting but never the confidence to take on work.  Mick's business “Paint my Ride” was the only package I could find that gave me everything that I wanted to be taught properly.  The full course covered repairs, preparation, painting, artwork and finishing.  I was somewhat skeptical that I could be taught this in such a small time but due to Mick’s professionalism and patience we cracked it all.

I have been a military man for over 25 years and have never come across a more professional and patient man ever.

I enjoyed each day and I’m being honest I didn’t want the course to end.  I completed a military themed tank of which I was the proudest painter alive, and I think our Mick even enjoyed it to!!!

I gained the confidence in taking on projects from the course, it is important you understand your own capabilities before doing so but I would have never imagined having the confidence to talk though a job, explain the different stages and see in your imagination the finishing product.

Since the course I have started the basis of my own painting business, I am in the process of completing a 1941 Norton tank for a magazine and this hopefully will open up some more cash paying customers.  I paint because I enjoy the finished product, I get too attached to my work but I have Mick to thank for that as his attention to detail and sense of ownership only rubbed off on me.

I recommend this course to anyone like me who enjoys the aspect of repairs and painting.  You could find cheaper courses but you will never find a better one, fact!!!

I will be using Mick to constantly improve my skills, Mick’s airbrushing skills are legendry and if I could be 1/2 as good then I would be happy.

In summary, value for money, top teaching ability, enjoyable, and most of all for me confidence inspiring.

Hi Mick

Just a quick email to thank you for the course I have just completed with you. My wife has been blown away with what I have produced in such a short time and I needed someone like her to remind me that I came on the course knowing nothing and yet I achieved so much by the end of it. This was down to you and your instruction: Your hands on approach, simple "monkey see, monkey do" method of instruction, patience and skill made for a really interesting and informative course, that even managed to train someone like me that had all the dexterity and brains of a drunken shaved monkey! I can honestly say that I learnt loads but more importantly I was never bored or out of my depth. I will of course continue to learn as I realise that my skills require some "fine" tuning but I feel that as long as I follow your instructions I will have no problems. Again many thanks mate and Im afraid I will continue to call you because you were silly enough to give me your mobile!

Cheers

Bob
